QLM's Internal Validation Testing
We’ve trapped this week’s plume in our gas cell that we use for high-precision metrology testing. Ensuring that our lidar camera makes accurate measurements of gas concentration-pathlength is key to our industry-leading emissions quantification accuracy. For controlled validation testing after any design change we might make, we fill our gas cell with calibrated concentrations of methane, and with the cell’s known optical pathlength, we can validate that the as-designed optical systems and algorithms in all our cameras – coupled with the final manufacturing tests back at the factory – will result in stable, accurate performance by the cameras we ship to field… where they will be challenged by real methane plumes.
