QLM is Granted Patent for Gas Detection Tuning Modulation

We have just been granted yet another patent, adding to our growing portfolio. In this patent, GB2607646 “Gas Detection Tuning Modulation,“ we have patented our unique laser modulation scheme wherein we use multiple-wavelength lidar with each wavelength of light modulated differently and separately to remotely measure gas – said another way, we encode the light so we know what color the returned photons are so we can reconstruct the absorption profile along that laser vector. This innovation is what allows us to so accurately measure and quantify the physical extent of gas plumes in three dimensions, and thereby very accurately measure the gas flow rate.
