Severn Trent Water Begins Deployment of QLM Systems in Wastewater Treatment and Biogas Network
QLM is pleased to be working with our customer Severn Trent Water as they deploy our Quantum Gas Lidar for methane emissions monitoring. The QLM deployment is part of Severn Trent’s pledge to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030, with a focus on reducing their process emissions. Our Global Applications Lead Doug Millington-Smith was recently in the field with the Process Emissions team (Bharani Sri on the left and Alexander Harrison on the right) of Severn Trent at their anaerobic digestion facility at Finham, getting started on the next stage of their ongoing project to deploy the QLM system at multiple sites. The QLM lidar has been surveying the biomethane infrastructure, locating and quantifying methane emissions and automatically uploading the results to the QLM Cloud, a secure cloud-based tool that Severn Trent operators can use to review the findings and prioritize any remediation activities. The QLM solution will also allow Severn Trent to directly quantify their methane emissions – from component to site level.
