Keeping it Simple to Set Up and Move
post by Murray Reed.
One of my favourite engineering acronyms is KISS - keep it simple stupid - where the last word highlights the perennial threat of feature creep in product development. The right “simple” is of course not what is simple to develop, but what is simple to use. We designed QLM Technology’s quantum lidar methane camera to be the very simplest way to accurately monitor methane. We hear the smug question “and why do you think we want to know what we are emitting?” a fair bit of course, but assuming you do want, we are the best way to know. A single QLM camera system covers more than 40 acres of active facility. And every few minutes we give you detailed 3-D images and highly accurate numbers, both of methane concentration and leak rate,. We put the whole system on a small trailer so an engineer can set it up to run autonomously in 15 minutes and you can check on it online from the comfort of your desk.
Contact us if you want to know where, when, how big, and why you have methane emissions. Simply seeing is believing.
