Plume Behavior During Changing Wind Speeds but Constant Direction
In this series of plume images, we can see how the changing wind speed (but constant wind direction) dilutes the plume differently (in comparison to last week’s plume where both speed and direction were changing). This 5 kg/hr plume is 50m from the QLM gas imaging lidar camera. Detecting and quantifying plumes like this, 24/7, day or night, is among the requirements in the new EPA rules for continuous monitoring solutions like ours. These images were captured during a measurement campaign with our partners at SLB at the TTU Oilfield Tech Center.
