Plume Behavior in Laminar Flowing Winds

We like this sequence of images since it shows how the plume behaves as eddies in the wind field’s reasonably larimar flow gently disturb the plume, making waves in its tail. The plume here is 100m from the QLM gas imaging lidar camera and has a 10 kg/hr release rate. These images were captured during a measurement campaign with our partners at SLB at the TTU Oilfield Tech Center.
