High-Accuracy Quantification in Real-World Conditions

Here’s a plume image taken by the QLM gas imaging lidar camera in some recent controlled release testing with our partners at SLB. The actual emission rate here is 5kg/hr and the camera measured and quantified the emission as 4.9kg/hr at a distance of 52m. This real-world field testing with known leak rates is important in validating the lidar system’s performance and gathering data for continuous algorithm and hardware improvement. This testing was carried out this fall with our partners at SLB at the the TTU Oilfield Technology Center in Lubbock.
