Pinpointing Which Components Are Leaking Using Lidar Context Imagery

Today’s QLM plume of the week showcases two pictures of the same leak, a few minutes apart, about 50m from the QLM camera. What’s cool in this example is the use of the context imagery in grey (LiDAR returns per second) in tandem with the LiDAR’s methane absorption pathlength, superimposed on top. With this combination, you not only can tell which component is leaking, you can also see (as can analytics!) that the leak is specifically on the side of the component opposite the camera.
