Applications Development at QLM
A critical step in successfully scaling field deployments of a new technology is having done - ahead of time - extensive applications development work, deploying the solution in a wide range of environments and sites to ensure that all the site-specific corner cases have been addressed in the design.

"QLM Technology’s quantum lidar methane camera sends out a low-power eye-safe infrared laser beam and detects single photons bounced back off solid objects. Recently we have been inspecting large natural gas storage tanks painted with carbon black so they don’t get as cold in the winter. This black paint absorbs our infrared lidar beam almost completely but because we designed our cameras to pick up shiny reflections as well as scatter we still get clear pictures and accurate measurements even with these challenging targets. QLM’s methane cameras are versatile, practical, and see where, when, and how much methane is being emitted anywhere you need them to. Even if you paint everything black."
